Birth Doula Services
When you choose me as your Doula, you receive my continuous support from the very first prenatal visit, throughout your birth experience, and into early postpartum.
I am here to support your birth vision and ensure you feel safe, heard, and respected.

Birth is a deeply vulnerable, beautiful and messy transformative experience. It's my job to help you find calm during the stormy parts, offer support and encourage you to listen to your intuition and wisdom of your body.
My overall wish is that you reflect back on your birth experience and recall feeling empowered and cared for. I want you to be deeply proud and pleased with your birth story.
What does a Doula do?
As a Doula, I assist in finding comfort during moments of discomfort. Guide you through different breathing techniques and imagery to cope with the discomfort and connect with your baby. ​My services include but are not limited to:

support for your birth partner

providing light touch massage during labor

help with optimal labor positions

help your birth plan stay on course

educate you so you can make better-informed decisions

keep you rested and motivated

keep you hydrated and nourished during labor

set up your desired birthing atmosphere

provide resources such as book titles, websites, and a list of local health and wellness professionals from various professions

stay with you after birth to help you feel settled and establish breastfeeding
What will a Doula NOT do?
I am a Doula, not a Midwife, OB or RN. I cannot and will not perform any clinical tasks.

No vaginal exams or fetal heart monitoring will be done by me

Doulas will not replace your partner, we will support both of you and find ways to include them as much or as little as you both desire

Doulas do not make decisions for you and your partner, we guide, educate and listen

With nearly 10 years experience of childcare as a nanny, aunt and mother, I feel comfortable and confident caring for your other children while you settle into a routine with your newborn.
